Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center seeks a Central Sterile Service Supervisor to lead the Central Service department, ensuring efficient daily operations and adherence to standards. You will supervise staff, implement policies, and coordinate instrument needs and inventory control within a hospital setting.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with surgical teams to support patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Extensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation and how it is used.
• Leadership experience and strong organizational/communication skills.
• IAHCSMM certification preferred or must be completed within first twelve months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Central Service department and supervise staff.
• Implement policy and procedures and collaborate with peers to meet department goals.
• Review daily instrument needs and manage vendor loaner trays.
• Assist in inventory control to minimize on-hand stock while meeting supply needs.
• Monitor staff to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory agencies including Joint Commission.
• Provide input for performance evaluations and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
