Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts who will plan and provide patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. The RN demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skill in caring for patients with complex needs and assumes responsibility for assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation.

For newly licensed nurses a BSN is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
• For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Experience in stepdown medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate a plan of care for assigned patients.
• Maintain clear, concise verbal and written communication.
• Document patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive discharge planning.
• Participate in quality improvement and unit-based activities.
• Administer medications safely according to policies.
