Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library is seeking a PT Homework Help & Enrichment Assistant at the Avondale Branch. The role provides homework help for youth and leads STEAM enrichment activities during non-academic periods.

The position requires ability to work evenings/weekends, serve youth in grades K-8, and support enrichment programming. A high school diploma is preferred, with at least 16 years of age and a transcript for math and language arts. 12 hours weekly, $17.48/hr.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current high school students must provide a transcript showing proficiency in math and language arts.
• No certifications or licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Answers questions about homework for grades K-8.
• Reviews homework instructions with students to aid understanding.
• Proofreads homework and suggests improvements.
• Connects students with library resources.
• Teaches and reinforces basic study skills.
• Encourages participation in enrichment activities during homework time.
• Engages youth in STEAM and enrichment activities during non-academic periods.
• Reports participation statistics to managers.
• Supports and advances the Library's mission and core values.
• Upholds workplace policies and diversity commitments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
