Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA in Pooler, GA is seeking a Shipping Associate to join our team. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trailers, verifying loads, and maintaining the shipping yard in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and using pallet jacks or forklifts. Evening shifts run from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM with Tuesdays and Saturdays off, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 years of shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Ability to work nights, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for loading and unloading trailers, verifying route loads, trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy, maintain records, report overages/shortages, and participate in cycle counts.
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment and labeling/tapering machinery.
