Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in San Martin, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support medical emergencies and provide medical care for students at our short-term residential program. The RN will work under an experienced leadership team including Clinical Director and Executive Director, ensuring high-quality care in a mission-driven setting.

The ideal candidate has an active California RN license, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of behavioral health nursing

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license
• Active and good standing driver license
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Administer medications including injections as needed
• Manage med room and distribute medication per doctor's orders
• Submit doctor’s orders to pharmacy and facilitate prescription retrieval
• Communicate with outside providers to obtain medical records
• Monitor skin checks for self-harm behavior
• Determine when a student should be placed on sick bed
• Accompany students to clinic or hospital and relay findings to parents and Clinical Director
• Check vital signs and weight as assigned
• Communicate pertinent medical information to Treatment Team and Psychiatrist
