Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp is seeking a Part-Time Shelter Attendant to support residents in our lodge and shelter programs in Florida. The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and a respectful approach to assisting residents during evening shifts scheduled Tue 4:00-9:00 PM and Wed-Sat 3:30-9:30 PM, totaling 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year experience performing security or social service work preferred.
• Equivalent training/experience may be considered.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Accepts and processes residents staying in lodge/shelter overnight.
• Prepares resident rooms, checks fire safety equipment, distributes linens and medications.
• Monitors resident activities to maintain safety; enforces house rules and documents incidents.
• Completes intake and program documentation, maintains electronic records, processes rent payments, and obtains signatures on forms.
• Responds to emergencies, assists with de-escalation, manages facility access during operating hours, and supports food pantry operations as needed.
