Job summary

Pearlview Rehab and Wellness Center in Brunswick, OH is seeking a Full-Time Cook for the 11:30am to 7:30pm shift, every other weekend and holiday. You will prepare meals for our residents and maintain a clean kitchen, following recipes and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities include proper food storage, safe food handling, and teamwork with dietary staff. This role requires standing for long periods and lifting 50–60 pounds occasionally; in-person work with a devoted caregiving team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to be on feet for most of the working day and able to bend, stoop, squat, and twist repeatedly.
• Must be able to lift 50-60 pounds on occasion, and sweep and mop floors.
• Ability to think and work independently or under the Dietary Manager's direction and communicate effectively with the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents, keeping dietary needs and special diets in mind.
• Follow recipes and spreadsheets to ensure portions and records.
• Maintain proper food storage and sanitation in accordance with state regulations.
• Follow work assignments and schedules for assigned tasks.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean dietary department and report problems to the Dietary Manager.
• Attend in-service trainings and communicate with staff, residents, and families.
