Job summary

Upper Arlington City Schools is seeking a Utility Worker to perform maintenance across the school plant, buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds. You will maintain and repair tools, machinery, electrical components, and building systems to ensure safe operations.

This 12-month, Monday–Friday schedule runs 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. with compensation of $23.32–$25.88 per hour plus shift differentials. A valid Ohio driver’s license and a commitment to high-quality workmanship are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of maintenance experience.
• Experience or knowledge of all building trade skills.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of students.
• Perform maintenance and service to facility equipment (HVAC, compressors).
• Repair electrical components, plumbing, carpentry.
• Maintain buildings and grounds, including groundskeeping.
• Maintain safety and code compliance.
• Assist with district operations as assigned.
