Job summary

Grand Rapids Building Services Inc (GRBS) is seeking a part-time custodian for Wayland Union Schools. The schedule is 4:00pm-6:00pm, Monday through Friday, totaling about 10 hours per week with one paid weekend per month, at a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual and able to follow GRBS procedures. Duties include cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning and trash removal while maintaining school building maps and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with valid ID.
• Leadership experience is required.
• Michigan public schools restrictions apply: individuals with theft, violence or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify.

Responsibilities

• Follow GRBS Process.
• Have mindful communication with respect to all.
• Finish the job to the building map and shift.
• Mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, and other cleaning tasks as assigned.
