Job summary

SAU #13 is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial staff member for the 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift to perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds. You will maintain equipment and assist students, staff and visitors as needed.

The position emphasizes following safety procedures, cleaning to district standards, and supporting events and daily operations. Experience in school environments is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to perform duties.
• Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.
• NH Motor Vehicle Operator's license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure the building at shift start and end for safety and cleanliness.
• Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices and other areas per standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip and wax floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstery and blinds.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
• Remove graffiti and clean glass areas.
• Set up and break down chairs, tables and equipment for meetings.
• Clear snow and spread sand/ice melting chemicals.
• Perform grounds-keeping duties and maintain grounds.
• Receive deliveries and assist with unloading and storage.
• Deliver supplies to classrooms and restrooms.
• Empty wastebaskets and assist in recycling program.
