Troy Community Consolidated School District 30-C is seeking an Evening Shift Custodian at Cronin Elementary to maintain the school facilities and grounds for safe, clean operation during evening hours. This full-time role requires teamwork, following directions, and performing basic custodial tasks with adherence to safety rules. The position emphasizes independence, reliability, and the ability to learn required procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with custodial duties and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions in English.
• Pre-employment medical and background check required.
• Preferred: Illinois driver’s license.
• Internal candidates should have prior part-time custodian experience.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, mop floors and vacuum.
• Empty and clean the waste receptacles and restrooms.
• Dust furniture and wipe surfaces; clean chalkboards/boards.
• Clean windows, walls, tables and benches; disinfect bathrooms.
• Over summer/holiday breaks perform intensive floor and furniture cleaning as assigned.
• Maintain custodial equipment and supplies; report repairs as needed.
• Ensure security of buildings and grounds during assigned times.
