Job summary

Jennings County Schools seeks a dedicated custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds under the supervision of the Principal, Director of Facilities, and Business Manager.

The role includes securing buildings at start and end of shifts, cleaning floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas, and assisting in deliveries, setup for events, and snow/ice removal. Safety procedures and ability to work outdoors in various weather are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to describe cleaning, maintenance or repair problems as needed.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for unit conversions and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at start/end of shift.
• Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices and other areas.
