Job summary

Ralston Middle School in Ralston, Nebraska, is seeking a Full-Time custodian for the 2nd shift. Under supervision, you will perform general cleaning and ground maintenance, secure the building, and support students and staff with a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of custodial safety program is expected after date of hire.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at start/end of shift for safety and cleanliness.
• Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, and other areas per district standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors; clean rugs and blinds; wash walls and windows.
• Move furniture and equipment for events; deliver supplies to classrooms and offices.
• Assist with snow removal and apply ice-melting chemicals as needed.
• Perform grounds-keeping duties and assist with maintenance tasks as required.
