Job summary

Millard Public Schools is seeking an Evening Custodian at West High in Omaha, NE. The role runs 4:00pm–12:30am, Monday–Friday, and is a full-time, 12-month position. Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of approved housekeeping courses is preferred.
• Experience as a primary/secondary school custodian is desired.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.
• Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish amiable relations with staff, students, and the public.
• Ability to work overtime on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Floorcare including dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and more.
• Trash removal and restroom/classroom cleaning; maintain supplies and cleanliness.
• Replace defective lightbulbs; report maintenance needs; cooperate with supervisor and staff.
• Operate equipment, assist with snow removal, and support cleaning operations as needed.
