Job summary

Hastings ISD 200 is seeking a Custodian for a split- shift from 11:00am to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday at Christa McAuliffe Elementary School.

The role involves sanitizing and cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices and common areas, detailed floor care, and assisting with setup for meals and events. Requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to lift 55 lbs. A boiler license is preferred or must be obtained within nine months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 55 pounds to shoulder height occasionally.
• Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
• Special Class Boilers license is preferred or must be obtained within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizes and cleans restrooms according to schedules.
• Cleans, polishes and rinses fixtures and surfaces.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, classrooms, offices, cafeteria, gym and other areas.
• Moves furniture and assists with setup for events and deliveries.
• Se cures and locks building; operates alarms as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance and other duties as required.
