Job summary

St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time afternoon Bus Driver to join our team. Hours are Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Responsibilities include safely operating a bus, transporting students to campus and events, inspecting the vehicle, and attending safety meetings.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Class C license with a clean driving record; CDL is not required. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a current, unexpired Class C license with a clean driving record; CDL not required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bus or other commercial vehicle following all traffic laws.
• Transport students to and from campus for trips, athletic events, or other events, including weekends.
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle at all times.
• Ensure the safety of all bus riders and correct unsafe behavior as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Attend safety meetings as required.
