Job summary

Peterson Trucks, Inc. in San Leandro, CA is seeking a Scheduled Service Technician for the 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM shift.

You will perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on rental trucks, documenting work and maintaining safety and cleanliness of the service truck. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Diesel Technology or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in preventative maintenance and service repair of trucks.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate with customers to build positive relationships.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks including oil changes and filters.
• Perform lubrication services and check fluid levels per OEM specs.
• Follow manufacturer service guidelines and inspect for potential issues.
• Maintain and prepare service reports and timecards.
