RWJBarnabas Health seeks an experienced RN for the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Medical-Surgical Unit-II. The role requires NJ RN licensure and BLS certification, with a BSN preferred.

The position offers three 12.5-hour evening shifts weekly, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include assessments, safe medication administration, care coordination, patient education, and accurate EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to support timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparedness for next steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture with shared accountability.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities.
