Job summary

NGHS is seeking a capable RN for the NGMC Gainesville area. The role emphasizes direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team, with opportunities to participate in councils and Nursing Quality Teams as appropriate.

The ideal candidate has an ADN or Diploma with at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN is preferred. Georgia RN licensure required. New graduates will also gain mentorship and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
• At least 1 year of RN experience – Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in RN I performance expectations in addition to: leadership of self and others, as appropriate, delegates appropriately, and supports NGHS shared governance model
• Lead interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriateness of care and smooth transitions across the continuum
• Communicates clearly and effectively with patients, families and colleagues at all levels; participates in unit-based governance and quality improvement
• Applies evidence-based practice as a regular aspect of professional practice
• Supports quality improvement initiatives to improve patient experience and nurse-sensitive indicators
