Job summary

Desert View Care Center in Buhl, Idaho, is seeking a registered nurse for a part-time evening shift (2pm - 10pm). The role involves medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with a compassionate geriatric care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active RN license.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in long-term geriatric nursing care preferred.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret information in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments.
• Record time spent performing treatments in accordance with policy.
• Ensure proper storage and security of prescription drugs and biologicals.
• Notify physician of medication/treatment issues and adverse reactions.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and properly stocked.
• Dispose of sharps safely and according to policy.
• Enter key information into computer systems including EMR.
• Practice infection control and safety policies and procedures.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and disasters.
• Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
