Job summary

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking a Respiratory Team Leader in Spartanburg, SC. This role requires leading the Respiratory Therapy department, supervising staff, and ensuring safe ventilator management and patient care.

You will coordinate care with physicians, manage schedules, mentor staff, and uphold standards of practice across critical and routine cases. A strong background in critical care and NBRC RRT credentials is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent and NBRC RRT eligible.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required/ideal.
• Current South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct age-specific patient care focusing on ventilation and oxygenation.
• Supervise staff, coordinate scheduling and workflow to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive ventilation per physician orders; assist with bronchoscopy as needed.
• Maintain high-quality care through policy adherence, EMR updates, and hand-off accuracy.
