Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Altoona is seeking Registered Nurses for full-time and part-time roles with flexible scheduling and weekend rotations. Opportunities for short-term contracts exist, with pathways for transition into full-time roles, allowing you to contribute to high-quality patient care in a rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure required by state regulations.
• CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
• CRRN certification preferred.
• One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care and treatments, lead patient assessments, tailor care plans, and address patient concerns to provide exceptional care.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and families to support recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care and provide direct patient care when needed.
• Serve as a resource for staff, supporting them with complex patient needs and inquiries.
• Celebrate patient victories and milestones as part of the recovery journey.
