Job summary

Chico State Enterprises is seeking a part-time Recreational Sports Program Assistant on the Chico State Campus. The role supports the Wildcat Gaming Lobby, events, and recreational programming, with a focus on evening hours and occasional weekends.

The position requires safe cart operation, CPR/AED/First Aid readiness, and the ability to work well with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the campus community. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Evening availability required.
• Ability to operate an electric cart safely around campus.
• Maintain or obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications; employer assists if needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and regularly inventory all Wildcat Gaming Lobby equipment.
• Monitor events and programs; supervise front desk attendants.
• Enforce department and campus policies.
• Promote sportsmanship and positive behavior among participants.
• Interact with participants and assist with event setup.
• Provide weekend and nightly supervision of events as needed.
• Assist with scheduling of student staff and daily facility operations.
• Train Wildcat Gaming Lobby attendants and ensure access to facilities.
• Communicate professionally with staff and community; handle crises when needed.
