SMOC's Rhodes Street Program in Millbury, MA is hiring a Recovery Specialist to help ensure client safety and provide counseling and supervision during off hours. You must have lived experience with substance use and be in recovery, with a high school diploma and a valid driver's license.

The role involves evening shifts, documentation, and potential van transport of clients. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, enforcing house rules, and collaborating with the team.

Competenze

• This role requires lived experience with substance use and being in recovery.
• Understanding of addiction concepts and 12 Step programs is preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff.
• Valid driver's license is required for program van transport.
• Must be able to work evening shifts and weekends as required.

Mansioni

• Supervise daily/nightly and weekend activities and clients.
• Provide individual, group, and crisis counseling.
• Supervise client compliance with Serenity House rules.
• Provide crisis intervention and refer clients as needed.
• Record and file necessary paperwork and log census.
• Supervise medication process and times; conduct monthly fire drills.
• Meet bi-weekly for supervision and participate in team meetings.
• Drive the SMOC Program van to transport clients when required.
• Engage clients and address needs within or beyond scope of work.
• Maintain confidentiality per laws and funder requirements.
