Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Less than 1 year in a customer service role.
• Compassionate, positive, and upbeat disposition in interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Basic computer and typing skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in delivery of patient care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to follow direction and provide accurate reports.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Confirms physician orders are complete with signature, ordered study, reason for test, and obtains missing information prior to treatment.
• Provides care to and related activities for patients using a patient/family centered approach following policies and procedures.
• Communicates findings or concerns to RN or Technologist.
• Demonstrates team building by participating in orientation of new staff.
• Maintains database accuracy and performs clerical/computer functions to support patient care.
• Performs registrations as required.
• Ensures safety and efficiency of movement and transportation of patients within and to departments.
• Checks levels of supplies and equipment to meet patient care needs.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
