Qualifications

• Accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Registry eligible or Registered Radiologic Technologist and active registry status.
• Maintain Iowa Permit to Practice.
• Participation in professional society (ISRT or SCD).
• BLS certification or obtained within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures on scheduled shifts, operating imaging equipment.
• Rotates through surgery cases to gain skills and proficiency to attain level III status.
• Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling on health problems.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.
• Maintains the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly condition.
• Operates equipment safely and reports malfunctions to manager or Bio-med.

Education

Accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program

Registry eligible or Registered Radiologic Technologist; maintain active registry status

Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice

Participation in professional society (ISRT or SCD)

BLS certification or obtained within three months of hire

Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within three months of hire
