Job summary

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Psychiatric/DD Nurse (RN) to join the Nursing team at the Northwest Ohio Developmental Center in Toledo, OH. You will assess nursing and medical needs, implement care plans, monitor patients, and coordinate appointments in a on-site setting.

Requires current Ohio RN license, strong nursing and documentation skills, and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in Ohio is required.
• Nursing skills including nursing care, observation, and documentation.
• Experience with charting and medication management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess/evaluate nursing & medical needs of people served.
• Direct/implement nursing care plans.
• Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior and response to meds.
• Coordinate clinical and medical appointments.
• Provide professional nursing care.
• Assist in feeding and grooming individuals.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Monitor LPN medication administration and documentation.
