Job summary

Amity Foundation seeks compassionate monitors to supervise students around the clock, ensuring safety and adherence to procedures. The role emphasizes mentoring, incident reporting, and collaboration with staff in a supportive environment.

The position is based in Downtown Los Angeles, CA, on-site, non-exempt, and hourly. Applicants should be 21+ with First Aid and CPR certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of ethnic and cultural differences within criminal justice populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise students 24 hours a day.
• Monitor students and alert staff to any substance abuse signs or overdoses.
• Document and monitor bed checks and communicate with other monitors.
• Serve as a positive role model and de-escalate conflicts.
• Perform emergency evacuation procedures and administer First Aid.
• Maintain facility and equipment in proper condition.
• Report critical incidents and upload supporting documentation.
