Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Production Lead to oversee a team responsible for manufacturing relay and control panels. The role reports to the Production Manager and works a 4:00 PM–12:30 AM shift, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include directing daily tasks, training new members, resolving issues with supervision, and ensuring accurate time and materials tracking. The position emphasizes safety and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or related field.
• Experience leading a team of employees.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
• Reading comprehension with ability to interpret directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
• Basic math to meet technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of tools such as tape measure and impact drill.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of assigned team employees.
• Address minor discipline problems with team members; refer more serious cases to the supervisor.
• Assist with planning and preparation of training for new team members in partnership with the training specialist and team trainer.
• Collaborate with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegate assignments based on team members' skills and experience.
• Assist team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
• Inspect work performed by team members.
• Track and log workers' time, materials, and other resources for inventory purposes.
• Partner with supervisor or production manager to resolve issues within department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete assemblies and sub-assemblies for manufacturing projects as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
