Job summary

BrightStar Care of Lubbock is hiring a dependable Registered Nurse (RN) for a 3-hour evening private duty shift. The patient can assist with transfers and will guide you through their established nighttime routine.

You’ll perform evening medications, assist transfers, reposition for comfort and safety, help with CPAP setup, and complete required documentation. Must hold a Texas RN license, have at least 1 year of experience, and maintain BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license.
• At least 1 year of documented nursing experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evening medications and the bedtime routine.
• Assist with transfers using a transfer board.
• Reposition the patient for comfort and safety.
• Assist with hand, wrist, leg, and toe stretches.
• Provide urinary drainage bag care and monitor for blockages.
• Assist with CPAP setup and use.
• Occasionally assist with suprapubic catheter changes.
• Assist with toileting as needed.
• Perform routine safety and comfort checks.
• Follow the established nighttime routine and complete required documentation.
