Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living in Virginia is seeking a Prep Cook I to join our culinary team. You will partake in à la minute cooking, contribute to Signature Dining Programs, and create chef-inspired dishes in state-of-the-art kitchens with top equipment.

We offer competitive pay of $17.00–$19.00 per hour with full-time (40 hours) 12:00–21:00 shifts and weekend availability, plus part-time (20 hours) with similar hours.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, from hot kitchens to cold refrigerators and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the consistent preparation of all food items according to proper safety and cooking techniques.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen and workstation.
• Use culinary talents to prepare and assemble high quality menu items that drive resident satisfaction.
