Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Anesthesia Screening in Minneapolis. Role is 0.8 FTE with 8-hour evening shifts, 32 hours per two-week pay period, onsite. You assess patients for surgery, coordinate testing, and communicate readiness to ensure safety and timely procedures.

The PAS nurse leads planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, collaborates with the care team, and adheres to nursing standards and quality improvement practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree in nursing and RN licensure.
• 2 to 5 years perianesthesia experience or related peri-anesthesia background.
• Current BLS certification and ability to meet state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assesses surgical patients and determines readiness for day of surgery.
• Promotes pre-surgical testing and consultations as appropriate.
• Utilizes an escalation plan to minimize delays and cancellations for medical issues.
