The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for a Political Science Adjunct Instructor pool for Academic Year 2026-2027.

The successful candidate will teach lower-division Political Science courses, including American Government I (National), American Government II (state), Introduction to Political Science, and Introduction to Public Policy, with most courses offered in the afternoons and evenings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in political science with outstanding teaching experience in foundational-level Political Science courses.
• Or master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Political Science and outstanding teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan classes and implement teaching objectives and student learning outcomes in collaboration with the Program Coordinator.
• Provide instruction for lower-division Political Science courses, incl. American Government I & II and Introduction to Political Science.
• Meet scheduled office hours and use department-defined texts and assessment measures.
• Compile data on student assessment criteria as required by the department.
