Job summary

Nucor's Trademark Metals Recycling division in Bushnell, Florida, is seeking a motivated plant leader to drive safety, operations, and production excellence during a 4:00pm–2:00am shift. You will build strong customer relationships and establish production schedules to meet demand.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of management experience in heavy industrial settings, plus scrap processing knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering or related field or 3 years management experience.
• Experience in operations or manufacturing with heavy equipment.
• Experience in scrap processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in plant safety and operations on a day-to-day basis.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Establish production work schedules.
• Provide leadership in people development activities such as hiring, training, developing and coaching staff.
• Serve as a role model; support and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and practices.
• Support manager in long-range planning and budgeting.
• Work closely with commercial team to keep them informed when nonferrous commodities need to be sold.
• Conduct monthly inventory.
• Hands on leadership approach in working with teammates.
• Safety Oriented.
