Job summary

Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, seeks a Piano Instructor at Garfield Community Center for Fall 2026. This seasonal, part-time role will offer multiple opportunities to extend and involve teaching piano to participants of varying ages.

In this position you will lead 30-minute piano lessons on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30pm, develop curriculum, and complete routine administrative reports such as attendance and incident logs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with kids, teens, and adults.
• Knowledge and ability to teach piano.
• Must pass a WSP criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead 30-minute piano lessons.
• Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate piano lessons.
• Plan, lead, and implement course-appropriate activities per lesson.
• Complete attendance and incident reports as required.
