Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CAP surveyors exception.
• 6 months phlebotomy experience qualifying for ASCP certification or ASCP-approved training.
• Routine venipuncture and dermal puncture experience preferred.
• Must adhere to PPE guidelines and safety policies; strong documentation skills.
• Willingness to adjust schedule and pick up open shifts to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures (venipuncture, dermal puncture) and assist daily workload.
• Maintain sample labeling accuracy and proper documentation; meet turnaround time expectations.
• Respond professionally to requests; coordinate with leadership for urgent tasks.
• Participate in continuing education and required training.
