Job summary
Endeavor Health’s Pharmacy Technician II role at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights supports pharmacists in dispensing and filling prescriptions, entering prescriptions in the computer, and maintaining daily operations.
The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with evening shifts 3pm–11:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays, and requires IDFPR license and CPhT certification; relevant hospital experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- High School General Studies required.
- Diploma or Vocational Degree General Studies required.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician enrolled in a first professional degree program in pharmacy; IDFPR license required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) current required.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, fills and labels medications for final dispensing authorization by the Pharmacists.
- Prepares unit dose according to refill list and fills the automated medication station.
- Conducts rounds to nursing units and prepares medications for transportation rounds.
- Performs pharmacy-related tasks to maintain efficiency and organization.
- Assists in maintaining pharmacy inventory (Rx and OTC).
