Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our 24-hour hospital pharmacy in Clyde, NC. This full-time evening position supports accurate dispensing and workflow in a busy setting, contributing to high-quality patient care.

You will refill dispensing systems, prepare orders, maintain inventory and ensure smooth pharmacy operations. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a Pharmacy Technician certificate.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and current state Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Desirable to belong to national, state and/or local societies.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackages bulk medications.
