Job summary
Hillcrest Silver Ridge in Gretna, NE is hiring a Personal Care Assistant / Medication Aide for evening shifts (2:00pm - 10:00pm) with every other weekend availability. The role combines medication administration, personal care, vital-sign monitoring, dining assistance, and daily living support within a compassionate senior living team.
You will work closely with residents, nurses, and colleagues to provide safe, respectful care that preserves independence and dignity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Medication Aide coursework preferred at time of hire.
- Nebraska Medication Aide certification preferred at time of hire.
- Experience providing personal care in assisted living or memory support preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents following five rights of medication administration.
- Monitor residents after medication administration and report changes to licensed staff.
- Assist with activities of daily living and personal-care tasks.
- Support residents with adaptive devices and meal/dining needs.
- Document vitals and care activities in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain clean, comfortable living areas and assist with housekeeping as needed.
