Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking an ER Technician for the Per Diem Evening shift in White Plains, NY. Under the supervision of the RN, you will provide direct and indirect patient care and support the emergency team.

You will perform phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, and help with infection control and behavioral health observation as needed. This role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years patient care experience.
• Competency in Phlebotomy.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• De-escalation training within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens for venipuncture and label specimens.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor and perform 12-lead EKGs.
• Collaborate with RN, provider, and health care team.
• Maintain infection control procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with patient transport and supply management.
• Provide one-to-one observation for behavioral health patients when needed.
