Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY, is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Peds CCVCU, Evening Shift. You will provide clinical leadership and manage a patient care unit during your shift, aligning with the hospital's goals and nursing department standards.

You will collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure quality, safety, and patient experience, support staffing and onboarding, supervise staff performance, and participate in policy and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Clinical certification in the patient population served or nurse leader certification.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Physical stamina and ability to move reasonably heavy weight.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and management for a designated shift.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure quality and safety.
• Support staffing, scheduling and payroll across care continuum.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to support unit operations.
• Lead staff development, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
