Job summary

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Move patients by wheelchair or cart throughout the hospital.
• Follow infection prevention and patient transfer techniques and routes for safe transfers.
• Maintain communication with nursing and clinical staff to coordinate patient movement.
• Protect the integrity of patient tubes, lines, and collection devices.
• Move patient valuables and equipment as needed.
