Job summary

Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for inpatient Surgical Services. The role provides patient-centered nursing care, assists with daily living activities, records vital statistics, and prepares treatment areas under RN/LPN supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with medical terminology, CNA preferred, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. If ND and not CNA, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry within training/competency validation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
• Administer basic health care and medical treatments; assist with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meals, etc.).
• Prepare patient treatment areas, clean equipment, and dispose of biomedical waste.
• Perform scheduling and documentation-related clerical tasks.
