Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the direction of the registered nurse. The role includes assisting with routine tasks, monitoring patients, documenting data, and ensuring safety and comfort for patients and families on the CMP 7 unit in Brighton.

The ideal candidate will hold a MA CNA license, a high school diploma or GED, and a current BLS certification or obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must hold an up-to-date MA CNA license.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform delegated patient care interventions.
• Collaborate with RN to determine tasks and priorities.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and other data accurately.
• Promptly respond to patient call lights and coordinate with team.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfers as needed.
• Provide basic hygiene and daily living activities for patients.
• Maintain infection control and safety procedures.
