Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in Plainsboro, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support for a 36-year-old verbal individual with a mild intellectual disability. You will help with activities she enjoys and promote independence during evening shifts.

Ideal candidates are college students, educators, or human-services professionals seeking meaningful part-time work. You will be driving on shift and must meet onboarding and background check requirements.

Qualifications

• Able to consistently commit to the exact posted schedule.
• Dependable, respectful, patient, and comfortable working one-to-one.
• Able to complete required onboarding, background checks, and training.

Responsibilities

• Support an adult with developmental disabilities at home and/or in the community.
• Provide companionship and support during evening hours, engaging in activities such as going to the movies, gym, and library.
• Encourage independence, social connection, and progress toward personal goals.
• Assist with routines and activities based on the individual's needs.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation after services and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
