The Arc of the Ozarks in Springfield, MO is seeking a dependable Part-Time Custodian to help keep our office buildings clean, safe, and welcoming. This role offers evening hours and independent work, with duties including cleaning, sanitizing restrooms, and maintaining floors and common areas.

Ideal candidates demonstrate reliability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. Prior custodial experience is preferred, and lifting up to 75 pounds may be required.

Mansioni

• Perform general cleaning and sanitation of office buildings and facilities.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
• Dust and wipe furniture and surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Empty and clean trash containers and smoking areas.
• Refill restroom supplies and replace light bulbs as needed.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up after meetings, classrooms, and events.
• Clean and maintain floors, carpets, walls, furniture, and other areas of the buildings.
• Use cleaning equipment and tools such as vacuums, mops, buffers, auto scrubbers, and extractors.
• Clean windows and blinds and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Help keep sidewalks, stairs, and ramps clear of snow and debris when needed.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools when necessary.
• Follow proper procedures for the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Complete work orders and notify a supervisor when repairs or maintenance needs are identified.
• Assist with inventory and recycling.
• Secure the building at the end of the evening when assigned, including locking doors, turning off lights, and setting the security alarm.
• Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor when working around staff and program participants.
