Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; EMT/paramedic related certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician or in a similar emergency care role.
• ACLS or ARC-ALS, BLS certifications are required upon hire unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care at scene and during transport, including CPR, oxygen, IVs and medication administration per physician order or ACLS protocol.
• Assess scene and patient; determine need for immediate life-saving interventions and coordinate with ED staff.
• Ensure safety of patient and team; maintain vehicle and equipment in good working order.
• Document care and participate in community safety programs as assigned.
