Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales is a plus.
• Ability to operate cash registers and scanners.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift light items.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner.
• Rings up all sales on cash register properly and accurately, handling money, checks, and other types of payment.
• Performs multi-function operation of fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions, etc.
• Notifies Store Manager of any equipment failure or maintenance/supply needs.
• Maintains the store facility's condition and equipment to Company and/or brand standards by cleaning and performing a variety of general housekeeping duties.
• Completes build-tos for ordering/purchasing merchandise. Receives and verifies vendor deliveries.
• Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
• Keeps accurate cash, sales and inventory control records and accounts for variances.
