Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the evening shift (2:30pm-11pm), Monday to Friday. The role requires CST and BLS certification, and 3-5+ years of orthopaedic experience is preferred.

The position involves perioperative patient care and scrub assistance under RN supervision, ensuring aseptic technique and efficient case flow. Ideal candidates will be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, with current NBSTSA or NCCT certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program is required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient perioperative patient care as scrub assistant for operative and invasive procedures.
• Ensure supplies/instruments/equipment are available and functioning prior to procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and contribute to safe patient care in the OR.
• Support readiness and case flow to optimize unit operations.
• Serve as a preceptor and resource to less experienced staff.
