Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Evening Shift. You will assist physicians and provide patient care across a variety of medical conditions.

Responsibilities include collecting data, assisting with activities of daily living, patient transport, sample collection and ensuring patient safety. The role offers full-time hours with comprehensive benefits and health insurance from day one.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing/Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed
• Proof with college transcript required or have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience
• Certification: BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• Stay with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
